A 63-year-old woman suffering from congestive heart failure and arthritis was asleep at home in Bessemer, Ala. when an armed intruder came into her bedroom. The home invader demanded that the woman hand over money and jewelry, and when she didn’t comply, he drew a keyhole saw and cut her on her stomach and arm. Eventually, one of the woman’s seven dogs alerted a guest staying at the home to the commotion. The guest distracted the criminal long enough for the woman to retrieve a .44-caliber revolver and shoot the criminal, who fled the scene. Police captured the home invader a short time later after he sought treatment at a local hospital. Following the shooting, the woman told local media, “I have a family to protect and that’s what I did. I protected me and mine.” The armed citizen also noted that she has been a gun owner for more than 30 years and that “women are better with guns.”

The Obama administration is making it easier for bureaucrats to take away guns without offering the accused any realistic due process. In a final rule published last week, the Justice Department granted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) authority to “seize and administratively forfeit property involved in controlled-substance abuses.” That means government can grab firearms and other property from someone who has never been convicted or even charged with any crime.

Mil tubes are thinner in diameter but are made of better grade ALU this allows the stock body to be thicker and therefore results in a Magpul STRonger over all unit. Coming out @ the same time as suppressed hunting rifles are gaining popularity, thisAR-15 scopetechnology may account for a lot of deer in the next couple of decades. I’m new to the game so what is generally considered the “best” magnification range that would do the job from CQB out to the usual max distanced that you guys see in most matches. I presently have a Trijicon 1.25-4x (German #4) that works great out to 225y for me, but I’m thinking that the lack of bullet drop or a holdover scale is going to limit what I can do out to the furthest targets in the various stages. So: * What is out there that is thought of to be the bestAR-15 scopefor 3 gun right now. * What is considered to be “enough to do the job” in magnification . (1-4 with a bullet drop built in?) * What is the usual size steel out to 500 – 600y ? Thanks.
